Wanna do it too? Here's the tutorial. . .
I made this little pattern for the petals that you are welcomed to use:
You will need to cut out 4 large flowers and 6 small ones
[so that you have 4 layers for the big flower and 3 for each of the small ones]
Then arrange them how you would like:
Sew the layers together in the very center.
Then, make a little stitch at the start of each petal, and pull the thread tightly to make the petals "curl" up a little bit:
Do this to all three flowers:
Next, for the beading. . .
Anthro's necklace uses just a single large, ornate bead in the center of each,
but I wanted to use materials that I already had.
So I just used lots of tiny beads, and I think that the overall effect is the same.
Sew them on in groups of 3:
I sewed 12 onto the large flower, and 6 onto each of the small flowers:
Next, cut out 3 circles, each slightly smaller than the circumference of the flower.
Set them in a [slightly arched] row and lay the center of the chain across them:
Use hot glue to attach the flowers to the chain/circles.
Attach a lobster clasp to the chain, and you're done!
Sure beats $138, huh? ;]
