It's no secret that a blog that is easy on the eyes will be more successful
When I first started blogging, I was overwhelmed with the whole html thing.
[Ha- who am I kidding? I still am!]
At first I turned to cutest blog on the block
[btw- nothing wrong with that! They have some adorable designs!]
But I wanted something that was more personal and unique.
Not being in a place to afford a professional blog design, I decided to do it myself.
Armed with nothing but my whits and an internet search engine,

It's taken a lot of time and effort to figure out how to conquer the thing,
A couple of new readers have asked for some help,
I'll be taking you through step-by-step, and I've created another blog that I will use pictures of here to demonstrate what I'm doing each post.
Here's how it looks now in it's completely unedited state:

I've already written up several of the posts, so here is the [tentative] schedule:
Resizing Your Blog - 9/1 7:00 AM EST
Designing a Header - 9/2 7:00 AM EST
Borders - 9/3 5:00 PM EST
Create Your Button - 9/6 7:00 AM EST
Adding Tabs - 9/7 5:00 PM EST
Adding Another Side Column - 9/8 7:00 AM EST
Numbering Your Comments - 9/9 7:00 AM EST
A few [important] notes:
1. A lot of my "know-how" has come from other sources, and I will do my best to credit them as we go along.
2. The only computer class I've ever taken was on using Microsoft Office, so if my way of doing something is ridiculous, please be merciful. I am merely sharing my means to an end. :]
3. If there are any specific issues you would like addressed, feel free to send me an email! I will do my best to answer your question if I can.
I've been tweeking these posts for over a week now, and I am so excited to share them with you!
I'll start posting my blog makeover tutorials tomorrow morning!

Oh what a great idea! :)
Speaking of blog designs...I'm thinking about changing mine up ever so slightly to give it more Fall colors...since I no longer sweat like a dog walking to class!! :)
I look forward to this tutorial. I have been wanting to tweak mine a bit. I wish that you could mess with it all without having to publish it until you are ready for it but still save your changes. All well. lol
Looking forward to this I need help here!!!
This is so great! I know I will have a question or two for you. Looking forward to it.

Genius idea! I'm so excited you are going to share your how-to's with us, I am clueless re: HTML. And I've already created my blog button, just don't know how to make the code linky, can't wait for that post!
You rock!
well, I'm looking forward to this. Everything I've learned, I've learned from blogs and google... :) AND, I like your pretty new blog so much, I gave it an award.

I'm anxiously awaiting the "numbering your comments" post -- that will make figuring out the random winner for giveaways a heck of a lot easier!
Is that your illustration of you taming the HTML beast with Google as your weapon?! I love it!!!!
This is a really fantastic series of posts. Thanks for doing this. Glad I found you!
