Guess who started her fall projects this week!
I LOVE fall, and I've been dying to start fallin' up my home!
I started with a wreath:

This wreath cost me next to nothing... aside from my two badly burnt fingers.
[Which is why The Concerto Project is canceled again this week...
I'm sure the story will unfold as we go along...
But here's the how to:
Materials Needed:
A plain wreath
Felt
Scissors
Hot Glue
I got this wreath at a dollar store my sophomore year of college...

I took grey and tan felt and cut it into strips, like so:

I took two strips at a time, and rolled them REALLY tightly:

And then secured it with hot glue:

Make about a billion of these in varying sizes,

WARNGING: If you are stupid enough to do this project on the carpet, and then hold a hot glued flower upside down over carpet so as to allow a huge puddle of hot glue to drip into your [rented] carpet, DO NOT quickly sop the hot glue up with your bare hands... doing so may result in screaming, cursing [of course, i never...], and really sore fingers.
I'm linking to these parties.

Sorry about your fingers but the wreath is darn cute!
The wreath is beautiful!
Ouch, That sounds painful. The wreath looks great.
Aww, your poor fingers! The wreath is adorable though!
Ooh, very cute! I'm a sucker for a wreath! :)
This really is gorgeous! I'm so sorry to hear about your fingers :( I hope your man is taking good care of you through your 'hot glued fingers' ordeal ;)
So pretty! I made a wreath last night! We must be on the same wave length :) I'll be sharing mine this coming week!
Oh, the times I have done that! (and we don't even rent, what's MY excuse??)
I am totally making this by the way.

Wow, this wreath is so cute!! I might use it as a gift idea for my mom. Also, your warning was clever but sure sounds painful.

This is such a great idea! The cold weather always keeps me inside- the perfect time for crafting.
Very Cute wreath! I've had my share of burnt and bruised little fingers. It looks great though!
You are always so inspiring. As always, BEAUTIFUL.
Also, it's reassuring to see the occasional "oops" moment from other bloggers. I'm thinking about dedicating a post to just those kind of moments I've had in the new house.
I love this!! It looks great!! Funny I did a post just now on how I made a rosette out of my daughters baby blanket and I put a disclaimer in it stating HOT GLUE IS HOT....No seriously its HOT! :)
thanks for linking up to MMM :) this is adorable!
What a great wreath! I like it very much! Thank you for stopping by and sharing it with us at Anything Related!

The wreath is adorable - love that you did it with simply felt and a glue gun! Sorry you burned your fingers - I have done that myself! Happy Fall!

How we suffer for our art...but I think that cute wreath was worth it.
That wreath is so pretty Mandy! I love the colors. Thanks so much for the how-to and the sacrificing for craft! =) I'll be linking.
Best just to let the glue dry and pick it off the carpet later, poor fingers!
The wreath is neat--giving me some ideas about making over my traditional fall wreath this season.
Love this!! :) Sorry bout your fingers though..sounds like something I would do...
I totally missed this wreath post! I had to come over after seeing it in you post you sent me! lol Super cute! And sorry... I laughed out loud and what you did with the glue and the carpet! But OUCH!
Sorry you burnt yourself. That sounds like something that would happen to me. It was worth the pain. :) Just darling!
Love this wreath! Great job!

I love it! Tip when you glue gun keep a bowl of ice water near by so you can dip burning flesh in it, makes the glue go hard fast and peels off with little pain.
Sometimes crafting, like beauty, must be painful to get the desired result. I am hoping your beautiful wreath was worth the ouch. Thanks for sharing! jules
Ow! I know how that feels! Not fun! The wreath turned out really nice though! =)
Way to rock that out. I'm jealous of all you gals that can do all this flower art. It looks simple enough but my home is full of boys...boys...boys.
Very cute! The burnt fingers were worth it in the end!
So very chic and sophisticated !
Another gorgeous project! Thanks for linking up to Thrilling Thursday!

HELLO! Where was I when you did this?
I could have totally fallen in love with my felt back then...of course then I had a 2 mo and I was barely able to think straight.
