I've had a thing for bunting for a while now.
So when I saw this Fine Fete Necklace at Anthropologie,
I knew I had to try to make it:

The flags were made out of leather...
And I had this gold letter purse
[Came with smelly sprays in it, but I had no intention of using the purse]

So I cut a small triangle out of paper,
and traced 10 on the gold leather:

I cut them all out:

And I painted them the various colors...
white, white/black stripes, blue, turquoise, grey.
And then... the crafty woman's biggest fear...
I realized I was all out of red paint!
How was I supposed to make pink and coral paint?!
Luckily, I had some red sugar :]

I mixed it in white paint, and it dyed it!

I hammered holes into the corners...

And strung them on a chain...

Added a pair of ribbons...

And I know that Anthro used some copper discs,
but I didn't have any.
I cut two circles out of the same leather,
Painted them, and attached them with jump rings...

Add a lobster clasp and,
VOILA!

I'm linking to these parties.
